Andy Manson - Head PGA Professional

I turned Professional in 2001 and 3 years later passed my PGA exams to become Head Professional. Previous to that I enjoyed a successful amateur career winning the Ulster Inter Pros in 1993. Although I am still keen to play, my main focus is on the day to day running of the business as well as a keen interest in coaching and custom fitting. I have always maintained a keen interest in the business side of the sport and have always remained ambitious to run my own shop. I worked at Balmoral Golf Club for 8 years, of which the final two were as Assistant Professional. I then moved to Lisburn Golf Club where I finished my PGA exams and qualified as a Full Professional. I spent 5 years at Lisburn Golf Club before moving onto Edenmore Golf Club to take on the role as Head Professional in 2006. Having now spent 8 years at Edenmore and gained a wealth of experience building up a good rapport with all members and visitors alike, I can honestly say I have chosen the correct path for my career and enjoy the day to day challenges that it brings.
